Our clients in Crosby had lovingly renovated their home, leaving their garden looking tired and not up to the same standard. Worn-out paving, a patchy lawn from years of football practice, and outdated decking were letting the space down.
They loved the idea of a contemporary, structured garden that mirrored the look of their home — with multiple seating zones to enjoy the sun throughout the day, level changes to define each area, and refined planting for year-round interest.
We designed the space with three clearly defined seating zones, each with its own character, using complementary shades of porcelain paving and gravel to subtly mark the transition between areas.
A statement steel pergola with a louvred roof and festoon lighting became the heart of the garden — a sheltered space for entertaining in all weather.
Raised beds were used to introduce a planting scheme that adds year-round colour and is easy to maintain.
Slatted fencing was wrapped around the existing shed, cleverly disguising it while the surrounding planting was selected to gradually soften its presence even further.
The final design created a balanced, modern garden that connects seamlessly to the house and looks stunning and works beautifully, whatever the season — from relaxed family evenings to summer gatherings under the pergola.
